Blue Lagoon, Iceland is a dream wrapped in warning signs.
Steam curling off black volcanic rock. Road signs saying:
Do not stop your car.
You’re alone out there - just you and the idea of geothermal wrath.
And then, through the mist, it appears. Like a fortress carved by gods. Hot springs churn around it.
Inside, the receptionist hands you a wristband like a drink token at the end of the world.
She also casually mentions the defence wall took a hit just last week and to follow all instructions.
You nod. You don’t ask.
But in the water - blue, thick, steaming - you forget the threat. You lean against volcanic rock with silica on your cheeks and a drink in your hand.
It’s peaceful. Stunning. This is Iceland curated.
