Barcelona doesn’t whisper to you. She grabs your collar, pulls you into the street, and says,
Look.
Late afternoon. The hour when the city shifts gears from sunlit postcards into something smoky, something with teeth.
Tourists still chase Gaudí’s mosaic dreams. I slip into a chipped metal chair outside a bar that feels older than the street itself.
Vermut arrives with a slice of orange. The barkeep calls you jefe, even when you’re clearly lost.
Barcelona asks for your attention. Then she rewards it.
