Lyon, late afternoon. You slip into a narrow corridor of stone where the old walls rise like stern elders and the sun washes them in warm gold. Shadows run long and cool, a quiet river sliding past your shoes.

On one side history clears its throat. On the other side the city cracks a smile. Weathered signs and small bursts of paint argue sweetly about what matters more, memory or mischief. You listen and hear both. A street lamp turns into a lighthouse for wanderers who have nowhere to be but here. The words Galerie Saint Georges linger at the edge of your sight, a friendly dare.

You feel the city teaching patience. Past and present share a table and pour each other another glass. The stones remember, the colors forgive, and you drift between them, lighter than you were ten minutes ago. By the time the sun moves on, you believe in second chances and slow walks.
