Still the place that never leaves. I spent a single day moving between bright shopfronts and quiet side streets, letting the city set the pace. It stays with you in small details, the shimmer of the river, the turn of a corner into a square, the way a crowd can feel like weather.

Spend a week and it follows you home. Later, in another country, I found myself listening for the Overground as I drifted off, as if the rails had made a new rhythm in my head.
